ASNOS
The Asian Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (ASNOS) was established at Tokyo in 2002. It is an international professional organization of neuro-ophthalmologists in Asian region. It aims to promote the field of neuro-ophthalmology by supporting medical education, encouraging research, and improving clinical practice. ASNOS and its members sponsor a bi-annual scientific meeting, and encourage clinical and research collaborations between neuro-ophthalmologists within and beyond ASNOS member countries.
Mission
The mission of Asian Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (ASNOS) is to improve the development of neuro-ophthalmology in the Asian region, and to improve the quality of care to patients with neuro-ophthalmic diseases.
Objectives
1.Organize an independent Asian Neuro-ophthalmology Society (ASNOS) Congress at least once every two years to advance the knowledge in the field.
2.Develop and promote research collaborations between neuro-ophthalmologists within and beyond ASNOS member countries.
3.Promote general public education on patient eye care in neuro-ophthalmology.
4.Associate with supranational ophthalmological societies in different regions, and to collaborate with other international and regional associations with similar interests.
5.Work with other local, regional and international organizations to co-organize symposia with their scientific programs.
